Dallakyan to apply to police
May 12, 2007 | 21:20
Yesterday Viktor Dallakyan, who is nominated under the majority electoral system in Vanadzor city, applied to the police. He informed “A1+” that a person named Vahan Harutyunyan has been threatening Dallakyan’s proxy Siramarg Aghvanyan in charge of observing in the polling station located in School 24 of Vanadzor and that the mentioned person has been following Dallakyan’s car by a white car with serial number 36LS257 since the previous day. In the morning this person committed violations in the polling station located in School 6, where they instructed people to turn the voting booths in a way so that the others can’t see what is happening there. Dallakyan’s proxy Gayane Galoyan called him and informed that after the voting booths had been turned she saw a person taking a photo of a ballot. They registered this in their papers.
“I called the PEC head Minas Sayadyan at once and told him about that incident. Minas went to that school immediately, after which the proxy called me and said that the voting booths had been put back in their places,” according to “A1+” said Viktor Dallakyan. He informed us that he has applied to the police with a written letter and that the questioning lasted over two hours. The police called Vahan Harutyunyan to the local police department and according to Dallakyan questioned him for about one hour. By the way, according to Dallakyan, Vahan Harutyunyan represents “National Unity” party in the Precinct Electoral Commission and has said that in many places too.
“I think the representative of NU has sold his/her place to Vahram Baghdasaryan and the ARP. I am sure that Artashes Geghamyan does not know about this,” said Viktor Dallakyan. “A1+” has asked head of the NU pre-election headquarters Alexan Karapetyan to clarify the situation. “Aram Revazyan is the head of our headquarters in that territory and what they say is misinformation; it is not true. Why did we have to sell? We need the places ourselves. Are we our own enemies? I respect Dallakyan a lot, but this is misinformation. It is impossible”, he said. “We are doing our best to keep our places, so why did we have to give the place to others? Geghamyan has met both of them (Dallakyan and Baghdasaryan) and petitioned them to organize everything fairly since we are in good relations with both of them. I think it is not good of Viktor Dallakyan to make such announcements about the NU”.
