Electoral bribes cost 7, 000 dram

May 12, 2007 | 20:57

Someone by the name of Ashot Aydinyan is distributing 7,000 dram electoral bribes in Apartment #19 to residents living in the apartment building located on 22 Soghomon Taronts Street, according to the “Country of Law” pre-election headquarters. The headquarters correspondents inform that the voting had stopped for a certain period of time in the 5/16 polling station, foreign voters have received 3-4 ballots from each member of the Territorial Electoral Commission throughout the day and have participated in the elections. The demands for recording the violations have been neglected. There are massive pressures in the 5/13, 5/14, 5/15 and 5/16 polling stations and an open vote has been conducted.

The confidentiality of voting has not been maintained in the 5/15 polling station throughout the day; the president of the Territorial Electoral Commission is controlling and accompanying voters. The mass media representative mediated to maintain the electoral order and that ended with the breaking of the camera on the part of the foreigners at the polling station center. The citizen of the 4/30 polling station came to vote and saw that somebody had already signed and voted for him, recorded that and was deprived of the right to vote.
