The foreign affairs ministry of Azerbaijan has sent a protest note to the US Department of State concerning the draft law on providing a financial support of $8 million to Nagorno Karabakh. The diplomatic note was delivered by Yashar Aliev, the Azeri Ambassador in the US. According to the Azeri side, any project in Nagorno Karabakh and the “occupied lands” on part of the US without preliminary consultation with Azerbaijan abuses Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and the policy officially adopted by the US.
